CULTURAL & HERITAGE TOUR OF INDIA

Day 1: Delhi Arrival (Arrival by Flight)

Upon your flight’s arrival in Delhi, you will be met with assistance and transferred to your hotel. Enjoy an overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2: Exploring Delhi

After a hearty breakfast at the hotel, embark on a tour of the capital city. Visit the Qutub Minar, the second tallest minaret in India and an Islamic monument. Explore the Humayun’s Tomb, India’s first garden tomb built by the wife of the renowned Mughal Emperor Humayun. Discover the Lotus Temple, a symbol of unity and mother of all temples in the Indian subcontinent. Drive past India Gate and Rashtrapati Bhavan. Spend the night at the hotel.

Day 3: Delhi to Mandawa (265 Kms / 6 Hrs drive)

Following breakfast at the hotel, drive to Mandawa. Upon arrival, check in to the hotel. Explore Mandawa, a town known for its vibrant frescoes portraying a wide range of subjects. These frescoes adorn homes with everything from religious themes to witty social satire. Every building showcases brightly-painted murals that bring life to the arid landscape. Enjoy an overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 4: Mandawa to Bikaner (190 Kms / 3.5 Hrs drive)

After breakfast at the hotel, proceed to Bikaner by road. Upon arrival, check in to the hotel. Visit Junagarh Fort, Karni Mata Temple, and the National Camel Breeding Farm. Spend the night at the hotel.

Day 5: Bikaner to Jaisalmer (330 Kms / 7 Hrs drive)

After breakfast, travel to the enchanting city of Jaisalmer. Upon arrival, check in to the hotel and enjoy the evening for independent activities. Spend the night at the hotel.

Day 6: Exploring Jaisalmer

Start your day with a buffet breakfast, then embark on a sightseeing tour of Jaisalmer. Visit the imposing Jaisalmer Fort, one of Rajasthan’s oldest forts with its 99 bastions. Explore Jain temples within the fort dating from the 12th to 15th centuries. Wander the narrow streets and alleys, surrounded by intricately carved havelis, palaces, and temples. In the late afternoon, venture to Khuri or Sam Sand Dunes for a camelback ride into the desert. Witness the sunset over the golden desert landscape. Enjoy an overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 07: Jaisalmer to Jodhpur (290 Kms / 6 Hrs drive)

After breakfast, journey to Jodhpur. Upon arrival, check in to the hotel. Explore Mehrangarh Fort, Jaswant Thada, and the Umaid Bhawan Palace museum. Spend the night at the hotel.

Day 8: Jodhpur to Udaipur via Ranakpur (260 Kms / 5 Hrs drive)

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before driving to Udaipur. En route, visit the intricate Ranakpur Jain Temples. Upon arrival in Udaipur, check in to the hotel. The evening is free for independent activities. Spend the night at the hotel.

Day 9: Exploring Udaipur

Embark on a morning city tour of Udaipur. Visit Saheliyon Ki Bari, Jagdish Temple, City Palace, and Bhartiya Lok Kala Mandir (Folk Art Museum). Enjoy a boat ride on Lake Pichola (subject to water level). Spend the night at the hotel.

Day 10: Udaipur to Pushkar (300 Kms / 8 Hrs drive)

After breakfast, drive to Pushkar. Upon arrival, check in to the hotel. Visit the Brahma Temple and Pushkar Lake. Spend the night at the hotel.

Day 11: Pushkar to Jaipur (300 Kms / 6 Hrs drive)

After breakfast, visit the Brahma Temple and Pushkar Lake once again. Then proceed to Jaipur. Upon arrival, check in to the hotel. Spend the night at the hotel.

Day 12: Exploring Jaipur

After a leisurely breakfast, embark on an excursion to the magnificent Amber Fort. Enjoy an elephant or jeep ride to reach the fort. Later, visit City Palace, the Observatory, and take a photo stop near the Palace of Winds (Hawa Mahal). Spend the evening at your leisure. Enjoy an overnight stay in Jaipur.

Day 13: Jaipur to Agra via Abhaneri (235 Kms / 6 Hrs)

After breakfast, drive to Agra. En route, visit Abhaneri to explore its step wells and the Harshat Mata Temple. Continue your drive to Agra and check in to your hotel. Spend the night at the hotel.

Day 14: Agra to Varanasi by Overnight Train

Visit the iconic Taj Mahal after breakfast (closed on Fridays). Explore Agra Fort and later in the evening, board an overnight train to Varanasi.

Day 15: Arrival in Varanasi & Temple Tour

Arrive in Varanasi and transfer to the hotel. Enjoy a temple tour visiting Durga Temple, Tulsi Manas Temple, Bharat Mata Temple, and New Vishwanath Temple. Witness the evening Aarti at Dasaswamedh Ghat. Spend the night in Varanasi.

Day 16: Varanasi Exploration & Sarnath Visit

Experience an early morning boat ride on the Ganges River followed by a visit to Sarnath, a significant Buddhist site. Return to Varanasi for an overnight stay.

Day 17: Varanasi to Delhi (By Flight)

Breakfast at the Hotel. Later in time fly to Delhi and transfer to the hotel. Enjoy your last night in India.

Day 18: Departure from Delhi

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your onward journey.

Sachin and team arranged our tour and what a great job they did... All the travel guides and Reps that were introduced to us in each town were so passionate and knowledgeable of the area and took great care of us.

Our driver Gordhan who was with us 10 days was so funny and also at the same time a very safe driver. He made our very long hours journey very comfortable.

This trip was to celebrate special moments with good friend and Sachin made sure this trip will be a memorable one too.
