Day 1: Arrival in Delhi
Upon your arrival at Delhi International Airport, you will be greeted and warmly welcomed. Our representative will assist you in transferring to your hotel, where you can relax and unwind after your journey. Take the day to acclimate to the new surroundings and prepare for the adventure ahead. Overnight stay at the hotel in Delhi.
Day 2: Delhi to Leh (By flight)
After an early breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Leh. As you soar above the clouds, you will be treated to breathtaking views of the majestic Himalayas. Upon landing in Leh, our representative will receive you and escort you to your hotel. This day is dedicated to acclimatisation to the high altitude of Ladakh. Take it easy and allow your body to adjust while enjoying the serene beauty of Leh. In the late afternoon, if you are feeling well, you can visit Shanti Stupa, a beautiful white-domed Buddhist monument that offers panoramic views of Leh city and the surrounding landscapes. Overnight stay at the hotel in Leh.
Day 3: Leh Local Sightseeing
Today, immerse yourself in the rich cultural heritage of Leh. After breakfast, embark on a sightseeing tour of the city. Visit Spituk Monastery, perched on a hilltop and known for its stunning views of the Indus River and the surrounding mountains. Continue to Shanker Gompa, a peaceful Buddhist monastery with intricate murals and statues. In the evening, witness a captivating sunset from Shanti Stupa, an iconic landmark that radiates a sense of peace and tranquillity. Conclude the day by exploring Leh Royal Palace, a former residence of the royal family that offers a glimpse into Ladakh’s royal history. Overnight stay at the hotel in Leh.
Day 4: Leh – Visit to Thikse and Hemis Monastery
Embark on a journey to Thikse Monastery, situated atop a hill and offering panoramic views of the Indus Valley. Marvel at the vibrant colours and intricate architecture of this impressive Buddhist monastery. Continue to Hemis Monastery, the largest and most famous monastery in Ladakh. Discover the hidden treasures within its walls, including ancient relics, thangka paintings, and a sacred statue of Guru Rinpoche. Immerse yourself in the spiritual ambiance and soak in the tranquillity of these sacred sites. Return to Leh for an overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 5: Leh – Stok – Leh
Today, venture to the village of Stok and embark on a thrilling trek to Changmachan. As you hike through rugged terrains and pristine landscapes, keep your eyes peeled for sightings of the elusive Snow Leopards that roam these mountains. Along the way, you may also encounter other wildlife such as red foxes, ibex, and various bird species. Spend the day exploring the natural beauty of the region and revel in the thrill of being in the Snow Leopard’s natural habitat. Return to Leh in the evening and relax at the hotel.
Day 6 to Day 9: Snow Leopard Spotting in Husing
These days will be dedicated to the exhilarating experience of spotting Snow Leopards in the Husing region. Accompanied by experienced guides and spotters, set out on daily treks to various valleys and vantage points known for Snow Leopard activity. The spotters will utilise their expertise and knowledge to locate these magnificent creatures and guide you to the best viewpoints. Capture the beauty of these elusive cats through your lenses and create memories that will last a lifetime. As you explore the rugged landscapes, you may also encounter other wildlife species such as blue sheep, pica, wolf, red fox, woolly hare, Eurasian lynx, and Tibetan argali. In the evenings, unwind at the camp in Husing and savor delicious meals while sharing stories of your day’s adventures.
Day 10 to Day 13: Snow Leopard Spotting in Ulley or Ligtse
Continue your quest for Snow Leopards as you move to the Ulley or Ligtse Village. These regions are also known for Snow Leopard sightings and provide a different perspective on the natural beauty of Ladakh. Accompanied by expert guides, embark on treks and explorations in search of these elusive cats. Immerse yourself in the serenity of the surroundings and embrace the thrill of encountering wildlife in their natural habitat. Day 14: Ulley or Ligtse – Leh
After breakfast, bid farewell to the snow-capped peaks and pristine landscapes as you make your way back to Leh. Reflect on the incredible wildlife encounters and unforgettable experiences of the past few days. Upon arrival in Leh, settle back into your hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure, reminiscing about your thrilling Snow Leopard expedition.
Day 15: Fly Leh – Delhi – Onward Departure
In the morning, board your flight from Leh to Delhi, bidding farewell to the breath-taking landscapes of Ladakh. Upon arrival in Delhi, you will be taken on a short orientation tour of Delhi. Later in time transfer to International airport to board flight for onward journey.
